2025 might be well underway, but there is always time to take a quick look backwards and celebrate the incredible individuals who contributed to a record-breaking 2024 for the company.
Last month we held our 2024 company awards during our Q1 service meeting at the Radstone Hotel with technicians, field biologists, account managers and office staff coming together from across the UK to catch-up on company news and celebrate each other’s achievements from the year just gone.
Our success at Pest Solutions has always been built on the strength of our teamwork, with communication between technicians out in the field, management staff, and the office team back at our Glasgow head office essential to the outstanding customer service reputation we have built up over the past 20+ years.
However, a team only thrives when the individuals in it are exceptional in their own right, and we are incredibly fortunate to have so many industry leaders in our ranks, frequently recognised across the UK pest control sector for their outstanding talent, knowledge, and commitment to training.
With that in mind, here are your 2024 Pest Solutions award winners! A massive congratulations to all those who picked up one of our shiny trophies and we can’t wait to see what new heights you can all reach in 2025 and beyond.

Without further ado, it’s time to introduce the Pest Solutions Company Awards Winners 2024!
Picking up the ambassador of the year award for the second year running, Siobhan continues to shine in her role as Account Manager, providing exceptional customer service to new and existing customers alike.
Constantly championing the professionalism and expertise of her colleagues out in the field, Siobhan’s calm, confident and reassuring approach is perfect when dealing with those in often highly stressful situations, and she has been the model representative of Pest Solutions since joining us over two years ago.
After winning the Account Manager of the Year award in both 2022 and 2023, Davie completed a wonderful hattrick in 2024, picking up first prize for his continued excellence as Account Manager in Aberdeen.
Commercial clients are the foundation of our success here at pest solutions, and no-one acquires, manages and attracts pest control contracts quite like Davie who has been nothing short of fantastic since joining us from Rentokil back in 2021.
Davie’s decades of experience are an absolutely invaluable asset to our accounts team and his numbers continued to be table-topping once again in 2024.
For the second year in a row, Kevin picked up the coveted Customer Feedback Award, after another 12-months filled with 5-star reviews and glowing recommendations.
We take our awards seriously here at Pest Solutions, but we are well aware that no recognition is as important as the satisfaction of customers who have been freed from the nightmare of pest related problems. This is the goal that drives our technicians everyday when they are out in the field, and no-one takes this more seriously than Kevin.
Kevin has once again demonstrated exceptional skill, expertise and commitment in 2024, and is well-worthy of retaining his crown for another year.
At Pest Solutions, we believe that continued training and a commitment to learning is the key to delivering outstanding service to our customers time and time and time again.
It is no fluke then, that in a year when Kevin was recognised for his exceptional customer feedback that he also led the field when it came to CPD points, throwing himself into every potential learning opportunity and reaping the rewards.
After winning Rookie of the Year in her first year at the company in 2023, there was no sign of a second season slump for Rhae who built on her promising start with an exceptional 2024 that saw her named as winner of the Pest Solutions Young Technician of the Year. She was also the first person in the UK to pass the RSPH certificate in pest management via the British Pest Control Association.
Since winning this prestigious award, Rhae has continued to impress and recently passed her BPCA Level 3 Certificated Advanced Technician (CAT) exam, just weeks after her promotion to Aberdeen team leader!
Congratulations to Rhae on her award win and her incredible start to 2025 and we are all excited to see where she goes next on her incredible growth journey at Pest Solutions.
When you’re faced with a pest problem in Aberdeen, rapid and effective solutions are essential. If Portia is assigned to your case, you’re in exceptionally capable hands.
Throughout 2024, Portia excelled at managing a demanding workload, demonstrating outstanding organisational skills, comprehensive pest control expertise, and a consistent commitment to high-quality customer service.
As Scotland’s first qualified female gamekeeper and the acclaimed author of the highly recommended book The Gamekeeper, Portia is no stranger to pioneering achievements and she has continued to blaze trails in her role as a Graduate Service Technician.
Another outstanding year of service in the books for Graduate Advanced Technician Chloe Smith who picked up the 2024 service quality award 12-months on from being named as the company’s State of Service Award winner for the second consecutive year in 2023.
Finalist for the National Pest Awards Prestigious Young Pest Controller of the Year award in 2022 & 2024, Chloe is well-renowned both inside and outside of the company for her knowledge and ability to tackle pest problems of all shapes and sizes whilst maintaining an exceptional standard of customer service. Another success story to add to Chloe’s ever growing book, and we are sure she is only just getting started.
This time last year, Clara was picking up the Pest Solutions Young Technician of the Year Award 2023 after an exceptional first two years with the company.
After an incredibly impressive start to her career in pest control, Clara has shown no signs of slowing down and has continued to thrive in 2024, achieving a well-deserved promotion to Team Leader in Edinburgh and taking to her new role like a duck to water.
To crown off another fantastic year for Clara, she picked up our Sales Lead award this time around, a reflection of her knowledge and consistently fantastic customer service.
Pest Solutions is responsible for the protection of hundreds of businesses across the UK, from restaurants and food manufacturing facilities to office buildings and student accommodation.
This is a huge responsibility but with Mark in charge, these businesses can rest easy, safe in the knowledge that they are fully protected against the threat of birds, rodents and other pests by someone with vast experience and a fantastic track record of success.
Voted for by fellow Pest Solutions staff, the Colleagues Colleague of the year award is always a feel good category with numerous nominations making up a pretty chunky shortlist.
Iain’s wealth of knowledge and experience as a field biologist is an invaluable asset for us here at Pest Solutions, but it his selfless attitude and commitment to helping others thrive that really sets him apart.
Iain is always incredibly busy in his role as team leader, yet always finds time for anyone and everyone who asks for his advice and is incredibly popular with his team and colleagues. This was clear from the voting results and Iain picked up the 2024 award in this highly competitive category, and we couldn’t imagine a more worthy winner.
Bob work ethic and commitment to his role is an example to us all, and the consistency of his hard work would be all too easy to take for granted. That made Bob the perfect candidate for our Unsung hero award, given to an individual whose actions every single day in the field is absolutely integral to the continued success of the company and his team.
Bob is incredibly popular amongst his colleagues and was one of the most well-received winners of our company awards this year!
One of our sales team stars and most experienced surveyors, Danielle Ellis recently received a well-earned promotion to Sales Manager and when you look at her numbers from the past 12-months, it certainly isn’t hard to see why.
Danielle has always been right at the very top when it comes to securing commercial contracts, something that is a testament to her exceptional knowledge of the industry and ability to convey to clients exactly why their pest control needs are safest in the hands of the Pest Solutions team.
A well-earned recognition for another table-topping year for Danielle and good luck in your new role!
After submitting the most comprehensive in-depth onboarding scheme submission that the BPCA has ‘ever seen’, Megan set a pretty high standard in her first full year at Pest Solutions.
Joining the company after time as an Animal Care Assistant at the SSPCA, and with a 1st Class BSc Hons in Applied Bioscience and Zoology, Megan’s pre-existing knowledge of animal behavioural science and a true love of all animals has been a winning combination and she has demonstrated all the attributes required for an long and outstanding career in pest control.
A worthy winner of the Rookie of the Year award. Megan has already hit the ground running in 2025 and shows no signs of slowing down.
Iain Mackinnon has been an exemplary example of everything we look for in a pest control technician since joining Pest Solutions back in 2022, constantly willing to go the extra mile for his colleagues and customers alike.
For 3 years now, Iain has been battling the pests of Glasgow with fantastic success and has received recognition at national level for the quality of his work, being named finalist for Pest Controller of the Year 2024 at the National Pest Awards.
Iain has had yet another fantastic year in 2024 is a very worthy winner of the most prestigious award Pest Solutions has to offer.
He even found time in his hectic schedule to made his TV debut, appearing on BBC News alongside Service Manager Gemma Sutherland discussing the rise in rodent activity in Glasgow City Centre!
It might sound cliché, but our success at Pest Solutions really is a team effort, and whilst we feel it is important to recognise exceptional individual achievements, picking winners from such a high calibre group of people is always extremely difficult.
2024 was a record-breaking year here at Pest Solutions, as we were named as winners of the Pest Business of the Year Award AND the Large Company of the Year Award at the National Pest Awards 2024.
Without the hard work of every single member of our office, sales, and service team, none of this would be possible, and we would like to thank everyone for their hard work over the past 12-months.
